First of all Anne must be commended for being incredibly accommodating regarding some logistical challenges we had in getting to Inverness from Edinburgh, and for this alone I would leave a five star review. The large Mackay room or suite is adorned with warm and rich tartan colours. A decour endulging my sense of all things traditional, highland and Scottish. The grounds of the house still to this day include some of Scotland's most impressive Cedars trees, with trunks that only a giant could wrap their arms around. The House has 20 acres of magnificent lawns and woodlands, lovely public rooms with log fires and a restaurant with stunning views over the sea to the Black Isle and the mountains beyond. Bunchrew House is a superb 17th Century Scottish Mansion sitting by the sea on the Beauly Firth. Beautiful setting, interesting building and loved the drawing room and breakfast room.
